In February 2014, the book *The Collection: Gothenburg Museum of Art* was published with support from the Torsten Söderberg Foundation. The book, which comprises 497 pages with 350 color illustrations, presents the museum’s collections in an appealing design. Popular science essays are interspersed with shorter texts to convey the latest research on the collection in an accessible way. Now the museum wishes to publish an English-language version of the book titled *The Collection. Gothenburg Museum of Art*. The Gothenburg Museum of Art has previously lacked a current overview of its internationally sought-after collections. The museum therefore wanted to create a book intended to serve both as a catalog of a selection of works and as a popular science presentation of the collection. An English-language book about the collection is particularly needed. A previous project, aimed at creating a web-based catalog of the collection, served as the foundation for the book. The texts in the book were developed by museum staff in collaboration with the research department. Project management and editing are handled by the museum.
