2018To facilitate local history and genealogical research centered on the parish of Kållereds in Mölndal, the newly constructed archive will now be fitted with archive shelves. At the Långåker local heritage center, an archive of approximately 40 square meters has been built to house the association’s current collections as well as future archival documents. The majority of the archive consists of farm records and farm monographs organized by Karl Bjernerstad with funding from the Torsten Söderberg Foundation. A second grant was awarded to Staffan Bjerrhede, who then organized the large archive from the Sagered farm and researched its connection to the East India Company in Gothenburg. The association’s approximately 4,000 photographs will also be incorporated into this archive. Thereafter, the archive can be made available for research by local history and genealogy researchers and, hopefully, by others interested in history.
