Decision on appropriations in 2023

In 2023, the Torsten Söderberg Foundation has decided to allocate approximately SEK 25 million in medicine, economics, law and other subject areas. The decisions are based on the donors' intentions and the quality of the research projects.

Some highlights. The largest grant of SEK 10 million enables an additional Torsten Söderberg Academy Professorship in Medicine at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Academy of Sciences. The purpose of the Foundation's Academy Professorships is to promote internationally leading research in the field of medicine and to enable full-time research at a Swedish university. The Foundation funds several parallel Academy Professorships in Medicine.

To mark HM the King's 50 years on the throne, the Torsten Söderberg Foundation, together with several other foundations, has initiated a professorship in Young Leadership at the Stockholm School of Economics.

The upcoming exhibition at the Army Museum: Sweden - Ukraine where roads crossed is another example from the Foundation's 2023 grantmaking.
